Bench blasting

Bench blasting using propellant cartridges is a practical option in civil work and tunnelling mining operations where environmental issues rule out the use of conventional explosives.

The negligible vibration footprint of the Royex Gen II cartridge permits bench blasting in close proximity to roads, buildings and other sensitive structures and may often be carried out without affecting normal activities in the surrounding vicinity. The cost and effort of closing roads, removing equipment and securing a safe perimeter around the blasting zone is thus limited with significant savings on overall project costs.
